At work I design embedded UNIX based systems using the Linux kernel, ARM processor, and various GNU/non-GNU toolchains and libraries.
I hope to use this page as a place to store some HOWTOs and tips that I've learned in the past few years of doing embedded programming & design. Until then, here's a link to some pictures of the box that we designed at work. It's rated to operate at -20 Celcius, and does so nicely even when installed on an outside brick wall during a winter in Alberta.
CPU | 400 MHz ARM X-Scale |
Connectivity | 100-BaseTX Ethernet & Class 1 Bluetooth |
Memory | 64MB volatile, 132MB persistant |
Sound | None |
Video | None |
Keyboard/Mouse | None, none! |
It's a great little system to work with.
